UFC 111 predictions!

•Nate Diaz vs. Rory Markham

I absolutely loathe Nate Diaz. I think he is an arrogant little punk. However, I also think he will beat Rory Markham. This is now a catchweight fight since Markham failed to make weight. Diaz by submission, 2nd rd.

•Ricardo Almeida vs. Matt Brown

I like Matt Brown, but Ricardo Almeida's jiu jitsu is insanely good. I predict a first or second round submission by Almeida.

•Jon Fitch vs. Ben Saunders

Jon Fitch was fully prepared for Thiago Alves before Alves was medically scrubbed from the fight. Don't know much about Saunders but I will go with Fitch by TKO.

•Mark Bocek vs. Jim Miller

Don't know much about either fighter. I will go with Jim Miller because he is a Miller.

•Fabricio Camoes vs. Kurt Pellegrino

Both guys have some jiu-jitsu skills. Don't know too much about this fight. Will pick Camoes by submission, 2nd round

•Champ Georges St-Pierre vs. Dan Hardy (for welterweight title)

GSP outclasses Hardy in every way. GSP by TKO, 3rd round

•Shane Carwin vs. Frank Mir (for interim heavyweight title)

This will likely be the fight of the evening. Carwin is a physical beast. 11 wins, no losses. No fights going out of the first round. All wins by knockout. Mir has sick BJJ and his standup has improved. Plus, he has put on 25 pounds of muscle to be better able to physically stand with the big heavyweights. I pick Mir by submission but this could go either way very easily.
